In anticipation of a National Register Historic District nomination, Hanbury Preservation Consulting surveyed the twenty six resources that comprise the commercial core of this mid-nineteenth century railroad town located near the Valley Wagon Road in Washington County, Virginia. Centered around a triangular "town square" established in the 1870s, resources are largely commercial buildings including a mid-nineteenth century hotel, a post office, and a Colonial Revival Town Hall.
