This survey project in Loudoun County, Virginia was conducted in 2012 with the William and Mary Center for Archaeological Research in anticipation of an electrical substation expansion. Hanbury Preservation Consulting completed the architectural survey, updating the records of two previously surveyed resources and assessing eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the resources, the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad Historic District, is a linear district stretching 45 miles from the City of Arlington west to Purcellville, Virginia.
