This survey project in Tazewell County, Virginia was conducted in 2012 with the William and Mary Center for Archaeological Research in anticipation of road improvements. Hanbury Preservation Consulting completed the architectural survey recording 13 new resources at the reconnaissance level and assessing their eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The survey documented two log houses, one from the 1790s and a cabin on Big Branch Road dating from the 1920s.
