Elizabeth City Historic District Survey Update

In anticipation of a revised National Register nomination, Hanbury Preservation Consulting in collaboration with Quatrefoil Consulting undertook a survey update of the Elizabeth City Historic District. The Elizabeth City Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, however its inventory was incomplete.  This survey documented 170 primary resources providing full photographic documentation and mapping.  New survey data was compiled and entered into the North Carolina survey database, and previous hard copy survey data was added as well to create a full digital record. In addition to re-survey, the project identified areas for expansion and noted boundary discrepancies.
