Hanbury Preservation Consulting completed a revolving fund feasibility study for the Alliance for Historic Wyoming in 2022. This study involved public engagement through surveys and interviews which formed the basis for a needs assessment presented to the board. The study acknowledged inherent challenges for the organization with limited staff servicing a large state with a small, dispersed population. The study identified needs and developed a programmatic mission statement. It proposed an option-based fund model to limit financial exposure, encouraged a robust and proactive communication strategy, and recommended augmenting staff resources with a partnership network and an active and experienced fund committee.
