Hanbury Preservation Consulting worked with the Madison-Morgan Conservancy to develop a feasibility for a revolving fund. The Conservancy is a land trust that embraces both land conservation and historic preservation. Through collaboration, partnerships, and a good working relationship with local governments, landowners, and other non-profits, the Conservancy has played a significant role in protecting over 4,300 acres of land, restoring numerous historic structures, strengthening the local food system, and generally creating a culture of conservation.
The feasibility study built on a successful county-wide greenprint effort that combined hard data with public input to identify and map those places with value to the greater community. Thus the Conservancy's study incorporated a wealth of data to focus their initial efforts.
