Hanbury Preservation Consulting has prepared strategic plans for Historic Macon Foundation, the local preservation non-profit for Macon, Georgia in 2012, 2015 and 2017. The methodology included assessment reports based on research, and board and membership surveys. The assessments provided insight to the board and served as the basis for strategic planning retreats designed and facilitated by Hanbury Preservation Consulting. Mary Ruffin Hanbury worked with board members to refine the organization’s mission, to develop and prioritize long term objectives and to create goals that support the objectives.
"Mary Ruffin came highly recommended to Historic Macon and I can only add to that endorsement. Using the National Trust's methodology allows us to track our improvement over time. A lot of firms offer planning for non-profits, but hiring an accomplished preservationist like Mary Ruffin helped us plan to be an excellent non-profit AND a non-profit that saves historic buildings. I have no doubt that Historic Macon Foundation will be more effective now and that we will be calling on Mary Ruffin for help again."
