Incorporated in 1968, the Quapaw Quarter Association (QQA) grew out of an effort to identify and protect significant historic structures in Little Rock during the urban renewal projects of the early 1960s. Throughout its existence, the QQA has been a driving force behind historic preservation in Greater Little Rock. The Quapaw Quarter Association’s mission is to preserve Greater Little Rock's historic places.
Hanbury Preservation Consulting collected and analyzed data from corporate records, stakeholder interviews, and surveys to prepare an assessment report for the QQA. The report served as the basis for a retreat where the board revised its mission, developed and prioritized goals, and began a process to create objectives and action steps to implement their strategic plan.
